Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy

Last updated October 4, 2026

Effective Date: October 4, 2026  |  Last Updated: October 4, 2026  |  Version: 2026.10.4

This Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy (“Policy”) describes the ownership of, and permitted use of, intellectual property made available through QVL Models, Inc. (“QVL,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including the QVL website, QVL applications, QVL Copilot, QVL Strategy Lab, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

This Policy is incorporated by reference into, and should be read together with, QVL’s Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Risk Disclosure, and Security & Data Protection page. If this Policy conflicts with the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service control.

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to comply with this Policy.

1. Ownership of QVL Intellectual Property

The Services, and all content, technology, and materials made available through the Services, are owned by QVL or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret, patent, and other intellectual property and proprietary rights laws.

Except for the limited license granted in Section 4, no ownership rights are transferred to you through your use of the Services.

2. QVL Proprietary Technology and Volatility-Intelligence Engine

QVL’s products are built on a single institutional-grade proprietary volatility-intelligence engine that powers multiple market-specific, retail-facing trading models.

This underlying engine, and the quantitative methodologies, analytics, and infrastructure behind it, is QVL’s proprietary technology. QVL does not disclose the confidential implementation details of this technology through this Policy or otherwise.

3. QVL Retail-Facing Models

QVL’s volatility-intelligence engine is applied to produce individual, market-specific retail-facing trading models. Examples of models QVL may offer include models tied to SPY, QQQ, GLD, the XSP Index, Mega 7 single-stock options, and AGVO, along with other QVL models introduced from time to time.

Not every model described on the QVL website or in QVL materials is necessarily available at a given time. Current model availability is governed by the live QVL application and account configuration, not by this Policy.

Certain names referenced in QVL’s historical or institutional materials, including “Volatility Dislocation” and “Volatility Edge Absolute Return,” refer to legacy hedge-fund strategies and are not current retail customer-facing QVL models.

4. Limited User License

Subject to your compliance with the Terms of Service and this Policy, QVL grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Services for their intended purpose.

This license does not include any right to:

  • sublicense, resell, rent, lease, or otherwise transfer access to the Services;
  • share your account credentials with any other person; or
  • use the Services for any purpose other than your own personal, non-commercial use.

QVL may suspend or terminate this license as described in the Terms of Service.

5. Prohibited Copying, Scraping, Reverse Engineering, and Redistribution

Except as expressly permitted by this Policy, the Terms of Service, or applicable law, you may not:

  • copy, reproduce, or republish substantial portions of QVL content;
  • scrape, crawl, or use automated means to extract data, text, or model outputs from the Services;
  • systematically harvest or compile QVL trading signals, model outputs, or analytics;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code, algorithms, or underlying methodology of QVL’s technology;
  • circumvent or attempt to circumvent technical access or rate-limiting controls;
  • create a derivative commercial product or service from QVL’s proprietary materials;
  • resell, redistribute, or sublicense QVL signals, model outputs, or content; or
  • use QVL’s proprietary information or outputs to develop or train a model or service that is substantially competitive with QVL, where enforceable under applicable law.

These restrictions apply to the extent permitted by applicable law and are not intended to be broader than reasonably necessary to protect QVL’s intellectual property.

6. Trading Signals and Model Outputs

Trading signals, scores, ratings, alerts, staged trades, and other outputs generated by QVL’s models (“Model Outputs”) are proprietary to QVL.

Model Outputs are licensed to you for your own personal use in connection with the Services. You may not republish, redistribute, or repackage Model Outputs as a competing product or service, or provide systematic access to Model Outputs to third parties.

Model Outputs are provided for informational purposes in connection with the Services and are subject to the Risk Disclosure and Terms of Service.

7. QVL Copilot and AI-Generated or AI-Assisted Functionality

QVL Copilot uses QVL-owned software, proprietary retrieval architecture, prompts and templates, underlying analytics, and proprietary context to generate responses. These components, and the manner in which they are selected, organized, and presented, are owned by QVL.

QVL does not represent that every individual AI-generated response is independently copyrightable. Your rights in any Copilot-generated output remain subject to the Terms of Service and applicable law.

You may not use Copilot outputs to systematically extract, reconstruct, or reverse engineer QVL’s underlying models, proprietary datasets, or retrieval architecture.

8. QVL Strategy Lab

QVL Strategy Lab functionality, including its interfaces, workflows, underlying analytics, and any strategy-construction logic it exposes, is QVL proprietary technology.

Configurations, parameters, or results you create using Strategy Lab are provided for your personal use in connection with the Services and may not be extracted, redistributed, or used to build a competing product or service.

9. QVL Education Content

Educational articles, courses, videos, glossaries, and related materials made available through QVL Education are owned by QVL or its licensors.

You may access this content for your own learning in connection with the Services. You may not republish, systematically copy, or commercially redistribute QVL Education content.

10. Screenshots, Social Sharing, and Permitted References

QVL does not intend to prohibit normal, personal, noncommercial sharing of your own experience with the Services. You may take and share reasonable screenshots or references to the Services, provided that:

  • QVL branding is not altered in a way that misrepresents its source;
  • confidential or proprietary QVL information is not exposed;
  • another user’s personal or account information is not displayed;
  • the content is not sold, licensed, or repackaged as a competing product; and
  • the sharing does not state or imply QVL’s sponsorship or endorsement where none exists.

11. User-Generated or Submitted Content

Where the Services allow you to submit content, such as support messages, feedback, or saved Copilot conversations, you retain ownership of content you originate, subject to the license you grant QVL under the Terms of Service to operate, support, and improve the Services.

12. User Financial and Brokerage Information

This Policy does not give QVL any ownership interest in your bank, brokerage, identity, or other externally sourced financial information.

Information belonging to, concerning, or provided by you or a third-party financial provider — including brokerage holdings, balances, transactions, and identity-verification information — remains your information or that of the applicable third-party provider, as described in the Privacy Policy and Security & Data Protection page.

QVL’s intellectual property described in this Policy consists of QVL’s own technology, models, analytics, and derived outputs — not the underlying user or third-party financial data to which QVL’s technology is applied.

13. Third-Party Intellectual Property and Market Data

The Services may incorporate or reference third-party intellectual property, including market data, exchange data, index data, and connectivity technology provided by parties such as market-data providers, exchanges, brokers, Plaid, SnapTrade, index providers, licensors, and other analytics or technology providers.

That third-party intellectual property remains owned by its respective owner. Nothing in this Policy gives QVL, or implies that QVL has, any ownership interest in third-party market data, trademarks, or provider technology.

Your use of any third-party data or technology made available through the Services remains subject to that provider’s own applicable terms.

14. QVL Trademarks, Logos, Icons, Names, and Branding

“QVL,” “QVL Models,” the QVL logo, and other QVL names, icons, and brand elements are trademarks or trade dress of QVL. You may not use QVL’s trademarks, logos, or branding without QVL’s prior written permission, except as expressly permitted under Section 9.

15. Feedback and Product Suggestions

If you submit feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Services, you grant QVL a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use that feedback to develop, improve, and operate the Services, without obligation or compensation to you.

17. Counter-Notification Process

If you believe that content you submitted was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to legal@qvlmodels.com that includes:

  • identification of the material that was removed or disabled and its location before removal;
  • a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;
  • your name, address, and telephone number; and
  • a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the applicable court for disputes arising from the notice, and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice.

This counter-notification process will be handled consistent with applicable law once QVL’s formal DMAC agent designation (see Section 15) is completed by legal counsel.

18. Repeat Infringement Policy

QVL may, in its discretion, suspend or terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers of third-party intellectual property rights.

19. Enforcement and Remedies

QVL reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of this Policy and to take action it considers appropriate, which may include restricting access, suspending or terminating accounts, removing content, and pursuing legal remedies available under applicable law.

20. No Implied License

Nothing in this Policy, the Services, or your use of the Services should be construed as granting, by implication, estoppel, or otherwise, any license or right to use QVL’s intellectual property beyond the limited license expressly granted in Section 4.

21. Reservation of Rights

All rights in the Services and QVL’s intellectual property not expressly granted to you in this Policy are reserved by QVL and its licensors.

22. Relationship to Terms, Privacy Policy, Risk Disclosure, and Other QVL Agreements

This Policy is incorporated by reference into, and forms part of, the QVL Terms of Service. It should be read together with the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Risk Disclosure, and Security & Data Protection page, and the other agreements referenced in those documents. In the event of a conflict between this Policy and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service control.

23. Policy Changes

QVL may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes to QVL’s products, technology, or legal requirements. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last Updated” date and, where applicable, a new version number at the top of this page.
